Dear Students,
Next Saturday, May 03rd, we will have our 2nd Midterm Test. The test will take place on campus, starting at 09:00 am, with the duration of 1 hour. It will be taken on Moodle, in Testes Intermédios e Exames Finais / Midterm Tests and Final Exams, so please bring your own laptop with you.
Students may only attempt the test by using Safe Exam Browser, which, by now, you might have already downloaded onto your laptop. If not, please do it by following this link, so that you save time on the midterm day.
The quiz consists of 10 multiple choice questions on the following topics:
- Inverse Function Theorem (List 1.5)
Please let me know in case you have any questions. - Implicit Function Theorem (List 1.6)
- Basic Concepts of Optimization (List 2.1)
- Unconstrained Optimization (List 2.2)
- Optimization with Equality Constraints (List 2.3).
Naturally,
- Composite Function Theorem (List 1.1)
remains essential to this course, and
- Taylor's Theorem (List 1.4)
offers a very succinct way to provide lots of information, so these two topics are likely to be involved. Euler's Theorem (List 1.2) and Mean Value Theorem (List 1.3) may be ignored on this occasion.
