Dear Students,

We hope you're having a great semester and look forward to meeting you soon in our Business Ethics Skills Accelerator. Here are a couple of things you should know before we get started:

  • This is an in-person course. We will meet in room D-112 on February 15th (Saturday) from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm and on February 22nd from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm (also Saturday).
  • To complete this course, there are only two conditions that you need to fulfill:
    • You are required to attend all classes, so we will register your attendance;
    • You will need to write only one assignment: a short one-page essay to be handed in by the end of the course (further instructions will be given in class).
  • In our second class (22/2) we will discuss the film The Remains of the Day (1993) by James Ivory, based on Kazuo Ishiguro's novel. You might want to watch it until then.
  • We are not accepting requests to change sections. Any such requests need to be addressed and reviewed by the student advisors or the master's office.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Since discussion and debate are vital parts of the learning methods and require full attention from students and instructors, this is a no-screens course. Students are invited to be fully immersed in classes and should, therefore, take their notes in handwriting. Using laptops, tablets, and smartphones is not allowed, nor necessary, during classes.

Looking forward to meeting you shortly,

Pedro Franco
