Assessment_
The overall grade in the course will be based on
both individual and group work. Detailed information on the group assignments can be found in the CESIM Assignment brief.
FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Students will be formatively assessed (marks do
not count) through group and individual assignments. The initial strategy plan in the CESIM simulation (to be submitted here) will be formatively assessed (deadline 21 February 2025; until 23h59).
SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT
A) Group work (40% of module mark)
Students will be working in groups in different group assignments. Students will be allocated to groups by the course organizers in the beginning of the course.
CW1 - Final Presentation (to be submitted here) (deadline 05 May 2025; until 23h59)
CW2 - Final Report (to be submitted here) (deadline 15 May 2025; until 23h59)
CW3 - Financial Performance (to be estimated at the end of the semester).
Peer Assessment
Students will be awarded a group mark in each of
the two components. However, the overall final mark of each student will take
into account its individual contribution to the group work (50%) and the overall
group mark in each assessment component (50%). Specific guidelines will be
available here. Deadline: 15 May 2025 (to be submitted here).
B) Individual assignment (60 % of module mark)
The individual assessment will consist of class participation (10% of module mark) and an individual exam (50% of module mark) taking place at the end of the semester. In the exam, students will need to analyze a strategic decision to be made and formulate recommendations using strategy tools and frameworks used in class.
