- This course offers a rigorous introduction to financial derivatives, with a particular emphasis on options and their role in pricing and managing risk in modern financial markets. Students learn the fundamental principles of derivative valuation and hedging using both discrete-time and continuous-time models, including no-arbitrage pricing, replication, and the Black-Scholes framework. The course also highlights how option prices convey information about market expectations and risk.
