This course provides an overview, from the perspective of Economics, of Environmental Policy, from goals´ setting to the choice of alternative policy instruments to achieve them. Issues related to too much pollution produced by the market or too little preservation of natural systems due to market failures are at the core of this course. Therefore, the management of environmental quality protection is highlighted in its diversity in nature and context. Importantly, applications to issues discussed in the context of the transition to carbon neutrality are considered.
