Este curso fornece aos alunos uma perspectiva sobre o papel fundamental da psicologia e do comportamento humano dentro do campo da economia e da gestão. Proporciona uma jornada que começa com uma análise de como pensamos sobre nós mesmos e termina com uma discussão sobre como e por que nos relacionamos com os outros. Neste processo, os alunos também explorarão a importância e as limitações do processamento da informação e como esta influencia nossos pensamentos, emoções, comportamento e decisões. Como as emoções e a cognição afetam nossas escolhas também serão exploradas.

This course provides students with a perspective on the fundamental role of psychology and human behavior within the field of economics and management. It provides students with a journey that starts with an analysis of how we think about ourselves and finishes with a discussion on how and why we relate to others. In this process, students will also explore the importance and limitations of information processing and how it influences our thoughts, emotions, behavior, and decisions. How emotions and cognition affect our choices will also be explored.

The main aim of this course is to provide essential biological knowledge for future environmental professionals, specifically:

i) Understanding the basic processes underlying the evolution and functioning of animal and plant species;

ii) Understanding the complex role of biota in environmental and socio-economic contexts, as a basis for informed decision-making;

iii) Developing concepts related to biodiversity and the need for its conservation.
